Consider your body as a vessel of water.
One way of clearing the waters is to let the mind settle, through the practices of mindfulness and meditation. Another way is to pour fresh, new water into the vessel and let it stir the pot. Eventually, your vessel overflows with new life, cleansing the old and creating space for the new. Toxins are stirred up and naturally carried out of the body through the bloodstream.
This stream of overflow is conscious connected breathing. Instead of just observing thoughts and striving to quiet the mind, we actively participate in the flow of breath, maintaining it for a period. The body receives a comprehensive upgrade as we tap into source energy and regulate the nervous system. Oxygen molecules, carrying particles of light, sweep through all channels, enhancing hormonal balance and purifying blood chemistry.
The pace, rhythm, and intensity of the breath, as well as which areas of the respiratory system open and relax, dictate how this intelligence moves and re-organizes.
The feminine way of breathing is present, gentle, relaxed, and open to feeling every part of the great mystery. As the ancients said, “As within, so without.”
The entire Universe resides within us, and all our experiences are stored as memories in the waters of our cellular DNA and structure. Constantly changing, rearranging, collaborating, and recalibrating, our intelligence is interconnected with the whole quantum web.

This feminine approach involves leaning back into the support of the earth and feeling what is present. It can be as simple as focusing on the breath as it moves. A concentration on softening the body completely and letting the breath do the work is a highly effective way to unwind and let yourself be breathed by nature’s wind. Here we engage in the act of breathing and get out of the way.
This is challenging for many western overachievers. A more masculine style of working at the breath; breathing into the front body, and pushing forward to make things happen—reflects an old patriarchal pattern of striving and “not enough.” It’s a constant rush to get somewhere fast, never fully arriving. This style of breathing, for extended periods, tends to create excessive tension and chemical imbalance. While peak emotional experiences may seem healing, they can also be manipulated and unmanageable.

It is here I offer this feminine approach to breathing. I guide the breath wave to create a simple container to invoke presence, to feel deeply, and let the breath gently guide you in. This practice nourishes the body, and aligns you with the Universe’s natural rhythms, fostering a deeper connection to yourself and the world around you.
If you are seeking a gentle, therapeutic, reverent setting to connect inwardly, and are in Victoria BC or close-ish by, please connect with me for sessions or small group ceremony
